The Slavery Business: How to make a million from slavery
Written when historical drama was still a rarity, this critically acclaimed BBC2 original drama told the true story of the conflict between a wealthy slave trader and a government inspector. Directed by BAFTA-winner Michael Samuels, it starred Robert Pugh as Henry Lascelles and Jack Shephard as Robert Dinwiddie.

Number 13
Number 13 was my adaptation of a short story by M. R. James for BBC 4. It was in that great BBC tradition of classic stories of the supernatural broadcast at Christmas. Starring Greg Wise and Tom Burke, it follows the events that occur when an academic becomes haunted by manifestations of a mysterious hotel room.
